Romilly 22 (2007) - Sale pending

Romilly is a modern classic designed by renowned designer Nigel Irens. Designed with the idea that a whole world can be explored where other ships cannot. The Romilly is equipped with a 150kg ballast sword which, with her unexpectedly shallow draft of 1.50m, gives the boat excellent downwind characteristics. Her amazing sailing qualities come into their own particularly in narrow, windy channels through which the boat shoots quickly even in low winds. She tacked easily. The small mizzen sail can serve excellently as an auxiliary sail for the helmsman.

The low weight of the freestanding carbon masts reduces both the weight of the rig and the centre of gravity, especially when the rig is reefed. This allows the vessel to be sailed safely in many conditions.

The cockpit is truly gigantic (3.30m x 1.80/1.10m) and the seating is comfortable. This little ship is equipped with a bimini. The small cabin can accommodate two adults. The masts can easily be taken out, creating an excellent cabin sloop.

Although the boat is built with modern maintenance-free materials, every effort has been made to give it a classic look. That starts with the beautiful line of the hull to the details in the finish, such as the well-functioning selftailing bronze lap winches. This boat is fitted with a 13hp Lambordini diesel engine, which provides excellent motoring speed. The boat is equipped with a vane propeller, which makes the boat have less resistance in the water when sailing.
